Remanufactured Rebuilt Engine Break in Suggestions:

We know your excited to get your new engine, but take some time to go over these recommendations before you put your pedal to the metal.  New engines need a break in period.

Break your engine in for at least 20 minutes at varying speeds and RPM's.  This allows the cam and lifter break in for flat tappet cams.  It is also necessary for proper ring sealing and break in of all moving components.

Check for any fluid leaks.

Check the gauges-  water temperature and oil pressure.

Check your idle and timing.

If your fluid check is good, no leaks, your ready for the drive test.

Worth Mentioning:

Diagnosis of the correct cause of original engine failure and steps to rectify or fix the problem before installing the remanufactured engine is Highly Recommended.

Visually check for any fluid leaks and address immediately.

Listen for any unusual sounds, knocking, tapping, etc.

OIL:

Change the Oil and Filter at 500 miles, 1000 miles, then every 3000 miles.

With a new rebuild, fine pieces of metal and debris can collect in the oil, to avoid any issues Change the oil.

Check your fluid levels at least once a week for the first few months, correct as needed.

If you have excessive fluid loss, repair immediately.
